Dear Jeff,

I always seem to carry slack rope at 1 ball...what causes this and more importantly, how do I fix it?

Rob Krogman, Colorado

Hello Rob,

Well, you could be either pulling too hard and too long or going to a flat ski into #1, rather than being on edge. Ways to correct this would be to get plenty of angle and let the boat pull you through, but try not to generate too much speed. If you are on a flat ski, you need to hold the ski on edge going out to #1, then you need to make an edge change(never let the ski ride flat!!!) I hope this helps!!!

Jeff
